The ultimate calming weekend guide

Are you just tired of the office shenanigans, the overdose of netflix & chill, social pressure & the unending to-do list? Perhaps all you need to unwind a cup of calming herbal tea. Herbal teas are the ideal ally for your relaxation regimen because they have a variety of special characteristics that can help soothe your body and mind.

Pick your herbal tea : Selecting the right tea for your needs in terms of relaxing is the first step. There are several herbal teas available, including chamomile, peppermint and lavender. A blend of it all would be a great choice too & we cannot recommend our Mood fixer tea blend enough. I personally love the aroma & its my go-to choice for days that are stressful & all I need is something to calm my nerves.

The right brewing technique: Herbal tea can be prepared similarly to normal tea. Depending on the type of tea, boil some water, pour it over the loose tea leaves, and let it simmer for a few minutes. I recommend making a few affirmations as the tea brews, this really adds to the joy of tea brewing & leaves you in a calm & positive mindset

Add a few extras - Some like to add ingredients to their herbal tea to improve the flavor and benefits, while some people prefer their herbal tea plain. Popular choices include cinnamon, honey, and lemon. I love to enjoy my tea with a side of freshly baked cookies or even a slice of vanilla cake on days I feel like indulging.

Locate a quiet corner - Choose a serene area where you can sip your herbal tea, such as a quiet nook in your house, a park, or a garden. Enjoy the flavors and scent of your tea while taking deep breaths. On weekends I make it a point to make journaling or meditative coloring to my tea time ritual. This helps me unwind & feel rejuvenated for the coming week.

Herbal teas have relaxing properties & when paired with little things we love it can really become your go-to weekend activity. Give yourself 30 mins every weekend to simply relish your favorite tea & I am sure you'll notice a difference in the weeks to come
